Our much loved ‘Feijoada on the Farm’ at Fazenda Santa Maria is back! Save the date: Saturday, September 16, 2023.

Feijoada is a traditional Brazilian dish that is famous for its rich combination of black beans and assorted cuts of pork or beef.

Join the American Society of São Paulo for lunch at Fazenda Santa Maria. This beautiful colonial coffee farm is located in Morangaba, Brazil, just 42 kilometers (26 miles) from Campinas and less than 100 kilometers (63 miles) from São Paulo. Guests will be able to enjoy a delicious feijoada lunch, and the day will feature music, caipirinhas, children’s games and lots more. Part of the proceeds from this event will go to our children’s charities including Grupo Primavera.


Feijoada is a traditional Brazilian dish that is famous for its rich combination of black beans and assorted cuts of pork or beef. Traditionally served with rice and meant to be enjoyed at leisure, feijoada is considered a national dish, with regional variations. In the city of São Paulo, you’ll often see this dish served in restaurants on Wednesdays and Saturdays for lunch.
